The English garden has long been quintessential to our culture. Which is why Union Distillers, who aim to celebrate all things British in spirits, wanted to capture this taste of England in a bottle. Union Distillers was founded in 2013 by engineer and gin enthusiast Mark Gamble. Often found tinkering away in his workshop, it was only a matter of time before Mark combined his two loves – and so ‘Gerard’, the bespoke copper still was built. ‘Gerard’ is a small but incredibly mighty 30-litre pot still that produces small batches of high-quality gin. Only using the finest and freshest botanicals, Mark and ‘Gerard’ captured the essence of an English garden in this exceptional spirit. Top up with tonic and a sprig of rosemary or slice of lemon.
