A luscious, full-on fruity Merlot from the sunblessed vineyards of southern France. It's made by Henry Cases, in his family's 100th anniversary year of winemaking! A wine worthy of the celebration. Enjoy velvety ripe plum, it's juicy and fresh too.
Enjoy here a ripe, generously fruity Merlot from a family estate deep in the heart of Cathar country. This is a wild landscape, dotted with ancient castle ruins, perched impossibly high on top of craggy hillsides. In 1919, Joseph Cases founded Domaine Saint Martin, close to Carcassonne and the Corbières mountains. He chose an idyllic site for his vines. Surrounded by pines, holm oaks, almond trees, cistus and broom, it's a fragrant landscape. The warm Mediterranean climate has proved perfect for Bordeaux grapes too, both Merlot and Cabernet, as well as other non-native varietals. Third generation Henry Cases made this silky red in the family's 100th anniversary year. Juicy plum fruit, it's tasty on its own and great with sausage and mash.
"Lovely ripe fruit so typical of the Languedoc. Easy going with a great balance"
